Unless you're unable to use it, caffeine is an essential ingredient in a pre-workout supplement. No, this doesn't have to be anything too crazy, unless, like me, you're someone with a high tolerance to this ingredient.
I think a good base amount of caffeine is 100mg. For me, I would like to stick with something that provides 200mg of caffeine per serving. Before you think this is too much, I've regularly seen pre-workout supplements that have 300 mg of caffeine per serving.
One of the supplements I like most is pre jym. The pre jym pre workout is made by someone who is a legend in the world of bodybuilding. It's not me who enjoys this supplement either. I've seen countless
pre jym pre workout reviews that often mention how well this supplement increases energy levels.
Another important ingredient is beta alanine. This awesome ingredient is beneficial for reducing the build up of lactic acid in your body while you're lifting weights. Why is this so important? Because lactic acid is basically what causes you to set down the weights you're lifting. If this build up happens at a slower rate, it will work wonders on your overall endurance in the gym.
